Passwords & Access

Many of our electronic resources can be accessed from any College PC, though some require you to connect via the UK Federation / Athens.

Wherever you see the options:

  • Login via UK Federation
  • Institutional Login
  • Athens Alternative login

use your College username and password.

See the UK Federation / Athens page of the Library website for more detailed instructions.

Off-site access

You can use the password option mentioned above to access electronic resources off-site, but some (such as MathSciNet) require you to have the VPN set up.

See the How to access e-resources page of the library website for further information.

Virtual Private Network (VPN)

The VPN is a secure network connection which enables you to access electronic resources when off campus.

See VPN Connection on the ICT website for further information.
